ABOUT NEW ZEALAND RED CROSS
Each year, thousands of people affected by emergencies, conflicts or disasters turn to New Zealand Red Cross for help, hope and support. Whether it’s providing clean and safe water to a drought-stricken community or vital medical care in response to a humanitarian crisis; when tragedy strikes, New Zealand Red Cross is often the first to respond and meet the needs of those worst affected.
The mission and values of New Zealand Red Cross and the International Red Cross Movement is echoed around the world through its network of 189 Red Cross National Societies; working in unison to help improve the lives of vulnerable people, enhance community resilience and respond to the needs of those affected by adverse events.
