Natalie originally hails from the UK, having graduated from medical school in Birmingham in 2007. She made the move to New Zealand two years later, fell in love with the lifestyle – and her husband – and now calls the Southern Hemisphere her home. Nat has worked all over New Zealand and especially enjoys practicing in more rural, isolated (and often beautiful) locations.

Nat found her wanderlust during medical school when at the end of Year 4 she decided to borrow a mates’ backpack and sign up for a last minute trek around Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Since then her more adventurous travels have included road-tripping in North America, scuba-diving in Egypt, backpacking around Borneo, island-hopping the Yasawa island chain in Fiji and of course, thoroughly exploring her own Kiwi backyard. Her interest in Expedition and Wilderness Medicine brought her to Inspired Adventures.

A bit of an adrenaline-junkee, NZ suits Nat just fine. From throwing herself out of planes and off mountain tops to shark-cage diving and white water rafting, she’s enjoyed them all. Her favourite hobbies are scuba-diving, snowboarding, and running, and she is currently training for her second marathon in Queenstown on her birthday this November.

Natalie currently lives on the Kapiti Coast just north of Wellington in NZ with her husband and young son.
