Michelle has personally raised over $100,000.00 for charities over the past seven years and it all began with an Inspired Adventures fundraising trek along the Great Wall of China for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service back in 2011. This particular trek as a participant ignited the fundraising fire within her and kick-started what has become an epic adventure filled journey around the globe.

Passionate about travel with purpose, Michelle’s ‘obsession’ with fundraising and giving back to the community came from the loss of her first child after spending four months sitting in an intensive care nursery and witnessing the wonderful, caring nature of the hard-working medical staff and the need for charities to assist with research and support.

She has volunteered and raised funds for local charities such as the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation, Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Ronald McDonald House, HMRI, CanTeen, Camp Quality and the Starlight Foundation. Her community contribution in the Hunter region earned her a spot as a finalist in the Newcastle Herald Hunter Hero Awards in 2013 and she was nominated for Australian of the Year in 2016.

Michelle conquered the Kokoda Track with Inspired Adventures in 2013 and the Inca Trail in 2015. And most recently was team leader for the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation El Camino challenge.
