ABOUT PHIL, DOCTOR & TEAM LEADER

Phil has been travelling to furthest corners of the world for as long as he can remember. Since 2001, Phil has worked for International and Australian Ecotravel Companies in diverse places including Antarctica and Sub-Antarctic islands, The Amazon, Greenland and the Canadian Arctic, Siberia, The North Pole and Tanzania. He has climbed and trekked Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Cameroun, Mt Bonita in Argentina, Mera Peak in Nepal to name a few.

Phil and his wife Annie have backpacked in almost all of Africa, Central and South America and most places in between over the last 30 years.

Phil has worked for Queensland Heath for 25 years as senior medical Officer in Emergency Medicine and 9 years as director at QE2 Hospital Brisbane. He worked overseas during and after this time as well including in East Timor as part of the Medical team supporting the Australian Defence Force and for RAMSI in the Solomon Islands.

Phil has been to over 150 countries – not that he’s counting, right?!
