Jessie has been an English-speaking guide in China for over 10 years. She grew up in a small city in Yunnan province known as ‘South of the Clouds’. After graduating from high school in her home town, she moved to Beijing to work in the electronics industry for 3 years, and then spent 2 years working on her English skills.

In 2007, Jessie went back to her hometown and started to be a guide in Lijiang, a cultural heritage town, which is famous for the ancient town and Snow mountain. 3 years later, she moved back to Beijing where she married and became a local guide. Jessie guides both city sight-seeing, and hiking groups. She is very easy-going, active and open-minded and always has a sunny smile on her face. Many of our groups love Jessie’s stories and bright personality.

In her spare time, she likes to practice calligraphy, play the Guzheng, and read books about Chinese history and culture.
